Security Analyst (SOC)

Key
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM, EDR, and monitoring platforms
- Investigate suspicious activities, indicators of compromise, and potential threats
- Perform triage and escalation of security incidents
- Support incident response and remediation activities
- Analyze logs, network traffic, and endpoint activity
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve detection capabilities and response processes
- Document investigations, findings, and response actions clearly and accurately
- Contribute to threat hunting and continuous security improvement initiatives
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry trends
Qualifications
& Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity-related role
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and incident response
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection tools, and log analysis
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and security protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence concepts
- Familiarity with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SC-200, or equivalent
- Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus
